besides all the minis, i cop differnet stuff too.
Lets go, now i show you, my dear readers, a piece from my Champagne collection:
Piper Heidsieck black bodyguard ( or crocodile ) 750ml designed by Jean Paul Gaultier.
This edition had been designed to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the Cannes film festival and Piper Heidsieck´s 20th anniversary of being the official distributor for that festival.
I made sure to get myself some bottles. Piper Heidsieck released 4 different bodyguard editions so far ( red – pink – black/red -black/pink) im pretty sure that a golden edition will follow soon.
Anyway this is the official press release for the bottle:
The bottles are enveloped in stunning crocodile look leather and feature the iconic golden Palme d’Or logo.
Champagne Piper-Heidsieck was founded in 1785 by Florens-Louis Heidsieck, and since its creation, has always been associated with the greats and the goods; from France’s most famous Queen, Marie Antoinette to Marilyn Monroe, who notoriously claimed that she that she wore only a few drops of Chanel No. 5 perfume in bed, and began each morning with a glass of Piper-Heidsieck champagne.
Piper-Heidsieck has been the official sponsor of the Cannes Film Festival for over 20 years. Available in the classic red for Brut and pink for Rose Sauvage, these exceptional champagne bottles are definitely the drink of choice at the most prestigious annual film festival in the World.
Im looking forward for the next editions.
A funny fact, at least to me is, that the bottle´s colours matches the German flag ( black – red – gold )
Im pretty sure that Misses Gaultier wasn´t thinking about that.
This edition is available with the red label and the pink label. So far i just got a few red ones, not sure if i want the pink one.
If you own the red bodyguard edition, you should drink it now, if not the Champagne looses its grace.
A votre santé!
